Moving freely and with confidence is not something that came naturally to me in my life, but Theresia gave me a real gift when she made me feel like I deserved to feel strong and powerful in my body, even though I was never what someone would think of when they thought of someone who was "athletic." Theresia has always treated me with kindness, respect and overwhelming enthusiasm, even when I struggled or had my own physical challenges - and has always been a resource to help me problem solve when I hit challenges. Bottom line: Theresia is one of the best things to happen to me. I wish more trainers had her point of view. She helps people who want to help themselves and she is patient, caring and the best cheerleader a person could have! Thank you for giving me so much belief in myself and for giving me the tools to find my own version of strong!
I’ve accomplished all the things I was ‘supposed to’ accomplish – and now I realize that my body isn’t another thing to accomplish.
I want to feel strong and connected to my body without it becoming another thing I ‘should’ do.
Sometimes I eat salty things, sweet things, or other favorite snacks and can’t seem to stop.
I’m really great at getting started with exercise, but when things get stressful or don’t feel good, I forget or just stop.
Lots of my friends have lost their freedom to walk long distances, participate in their favorite hobbies, and travel because of how their bodies are aging. I’m worried this might happen to me too.
I wish I was more flexible, but I hate stretching.
I know it’s important to strength train for my bone health, but I don’t want a cookie cutter fitness program.
Any of these sound like something that pops in at night while you're trying to fall asleep?

I spent 2-3 years training with Theresia and she has been one of the most transformative trainers I’ve had over a ten year period.
When I started, my level of body and eye coordination was below zero, and other trainers found it frustrating to get me to move correctly, such as throwing jabs and crosses, and getting better mobility and control over my shoulders, chest and upper back. I also wanted to learn to throw a football correctly to my growing kids and to get the basics of kicking a soccer ball. Hand-eye coordination and poor reflexes were also big challenges for me and she had good strategies for my goals, with a lot of relevant background and a good sense of how to get people to move.
I am now training in handstands and back-tucks at a gym that trains circus acrobats, and am learning intermediate level martial arts and yoga skills where this kind of training makes the difference.
Theresia always showed up and was cheerful and professional. I am very thankful for the improvements she helped me make. Trainers are very happy and somewhat amazed when they can now get me to do cool things in much less time.
You’re already pretty self-aware and connected to your body.
Maybe you’ve run marathons, done triathlons, or hiked the Adirondack Trail… years ago.
Or, maybe you’re certified in or had great results with Yoga, Reiki, Pilates or Feldenkreis methods.
But now, you want to build a different kind of strength so you can ski in the Rockies for many years to come (or kayak in the Florida Keys! We can’t all love snow!!)
It’s possible to build strength at 60, 70, 80 … I can show you how!
After our Holistic Strength Training Sessions, you'll walk away with an even deeper connection to your body, a holistic strength training plan, and the confidence to handle the physical challenges of ANYTHING!
Whether that’s exploring France while you’re taking a watercolor workshop, paddleboarding in Hawaii, or hiking the Camino de Santiago.
The thing is, a personal trainer who looks at your body holistically can help you do this and more.
Why?
Because they understand how your body works as a whole to improve flexibility & balance AND how to build muscle & increase your bone density through strength training.
How do I know?
Well, let me introduce myself.
Hi! I’m Theresia
For years, I lived in "striving" mode, always pushing to achieve and prove my worth—especially with my body.
Actually, I believed if I could get it “just right,” I might finally feel confident and worthy.
With the help of some supportive relationships, I eventually realized self-worth doesn’t come from external validation or constant striving.
Self-worth comes from understanding and trusting your body.
Now, I help others – like you! – build strength and foster a deeper connection with their bodies.
We listen to your body’s innate wisdom and work with it, not against it. Together, we create sustainable routines that build physical strength and confidence while honoring your unique history and needs.
Clients often tell me they’ve grown stronger and more capable, set meaningful boundaries, and embraced an active, adventurous life. My goal is to empower you to feel at home in your body and trust its incredible potential.
I'm kinda like your fitness GPS… guiding you to build strength by exploring roads you’ve never traveled before. And, of course, having some fun along the way.
